26.05.2014 Employees of "Ledum" Ltd Dedusheva I.G. and Vovk L.V. took part in the school-seminar "Modern aspects of immunohematology and screening of donated blood" under the auspices of the WHO "Association of the Blood Service of Ukraine", Kiev, which took place in Kiev on April 23-24, 2014.
Laboratory doctor of the highest category Dedusheva I.G. made a presentation on the topic “C.D. Rich. Vacuum system for blood collection”.
This seminar was attended by the representative of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine Moroz D.E., President of "Association of Blood Service of Ukraine" Chugriev V.N., Director of the Institute of Hematology and Transfusiology (Kiev) Timchenko A.S., Director of Institute of Blood Pathology (Lviv) Novak V. L, chief doctors of BTS of Ukraine: Zhytomyr, Vinnitsa, Belaya Tserkov, Enakievo, Kramatorsk, Lugansk, Rovno, Kharkov; deputy chief doctors of Dnepropetrovsk and Uzhgorod BTS, head of laboratories and specialists of laboratories, more than 80 participants in total.
All speakers emphasized the lack of an adequate legislative framework, the absence of "feedback", i.e. the necessity of introduction of hemovigilance system in Ukraine.
The subject of the school - seminar was extremely actual and the information from the reports can be used for improvement of the legislative framework, efficiency and safety of the blood service.
